Scout Troop Badges

There are 2 different types of badges available to Scouts: ‘Activity Badges’ and ‘Scout Awards’.

Activity badges are badges you receive when you have worked hard to learn a new skill and can demonstrate an understanding of what is required to safely practise that skill, for example climbing or kayaking.

Scout Awards on the other hand can take some time to achieve. They may involve learning and developing a new skill over time, or planning and executing an expedition on your own or as part of a small team.  If you are active throughout your stay with us you are likely, with a bit of effort, to obtain the highest section award.
